New poll: NBC/Wall St. Jour.: Bush @ 39%; Congress @ 25%
I find it funny that the title to this story is how Bush is rebounding. His numbers did increase by 1% from 38% to 39%. Normally that would mean his numbers are "unchanged," given that it is within the margin of error.

But never mind. His numbers on Iraq are horrible. Although a majority 68% don't want an "immediate" withdrawl. 60% do want to "decrease the number of troops." Majority don't think things are going well or approve of Bush's handling of the war. They didn't ask whether people would support a withdrawl in say a year or two. Given that the idiot Bush is not about to withdraw troops any time soon. The real important numbers would be whether American's still want to be at war by, say, 2008. But the only "positive" number for Bush in this poll is that a large majority don't support an immediate withdrawl. Every other number is just down right terrible.

Another interesting thing about this poll is the collapse of support for Republicans in Congress. Now only 25% of people support them. I don't ever remember it being that low. Even during Impeachment they still had about 35% support.

Somehow, they are spinning this poll as good news for Bush. I'm not sure how it is. If I were President, and I woke up one morning and my approval rating was 39%, I wouldn't go around bragging about it.

3. Did you see slobber mouth matthews tonight talking about
how asshat has "rebounded" and his poll numbers are UP to 42%. God, the media whore pundits are working overtime trying to prop that idiot up. It's really sickening. :puke:

5. Tweety is the worst.
That guy makes no sense. I stopped watching him years ago. What are his ratings at now? 100,000? He doesn't even rank in cable ratings.

4. Didn't DUH-bya blame Congress for the intelligence failures...
(lies) that led up to the war? Do you think some dimwits bought it, and then thought one point in ratings made a fart in a sandstorm's worth of difference?

6. 42% and 39% are both within the margins of error.
That makes these numbers a veritable wash. To trumpet this as a rebound seems a bit desperate.

7. that post-Annapolis blip

sure vanished quickly. And the NBC pollster caught a tiny little bit of its tail end.

I want to see whether his 'handling terrorism' rating dropped after this little stunt. It really should.

As for Congress, I think the words everyone is looking for to describe what is going on are "useless" and "stupid".

8. Remember, you had Russert
giving the poll numbers, but his mind was wandering, thinking about, CLINTON'S COCK, CLINTON'S COCK..... If this sad excuse would ask the tough questions to those reprobate repugs he has on his show as he did trying to find out all he could about CLINTON"S COCK when dems were on navk in 98 99, then maybe he would be more viable these days.
