MSM networks told to carry Bush speech LIVE tomorrow night.
How's that for orders from der fuhrer? ORDERED to carry his speech. ORDERED. Just think about that for a minute.

You VILL PUT ME on de Air. Or else.
I am getting a sick feeling about this. It is all or nothing. Our country's future will turn on what happens tomorrow.
What if he claims, "This just in - we are under attack, I am deploying the national guard to keep America secure. We now have martial law. but please go shopping."

2. Actually, I thought he said something like that today.
I was kind of half listening and he said:

"To fight the war on terror, I am using authority vested in me by Congress, including the Joint Authorization for Use of Military Force, which passed overwhelmingly in the first week after September the 11th. I'm also using constitutional authority vested in me as Commander-in-Chief."

I actually briefly thought he was ordering some kind of martial law. It spooked the hell out of me.

They should carry his address. In return for a free broadcast licence it isn't too much to ask that they carry an occassional speech or press conference. Until Clinton this was done routinely.

you can bet the networks would balk at airing a presidential address. Since it is repeats night on the Sunday before Christmas, they aren't all that concerned.

Except Family Guy is new :( Better fix the TiVo not to record it...
