Torture Act Bogus

This morning on the ABC show "This Week" John McCain proved that the latest Torture Act is Bogus. One of the stipulations of the act is that people cannot use any form of abuse that would shock the concious. Moments later McCain admitted that if a person was picked up during the planning stages of a terrorist operation and know the details of the attack torturing that person would not shock the concious. McCain said this would be a one in a million case, but I disagree. How would the government know if a terrorist attack was in the planning stages? They would have no way of knowing; therefore, they can assume that anyone they pick up is in the mists of planning an attack. In addition, the administration could claim that since 9/11 the terrorist have been in the planning stages of another attack; therefore, anyone the government picks up must be tortured in order to get them to give up information about the attack.

and they will continue to do what ever they want in secret. I don't have any faith in this administration having any decency about anything. I still think they were the steering mechanism in 9/11 and they use that fateful day to justify rounding up and torturing anyone they feel like. They wanted into Iraq for the oil and Afghanistan for the poppies and the pipeline. It's all about money and making more money. None of this has anything to do with democracy, freedom or keeping us safe from terrorists. They are pigs.
