Bush* to Protect America but what exactly is America?

Is America just a hunk of rock and trees or is it a bunch of different people or is it an idea. An idea that the people rule themselves and are secure in their persons, places and things? People have rights guaranteed under a Constitution and spelled out in great detail. If America is an idea and Bush* is destroying that idea throughout the world is he keeping America safe. Is he protecting America or destroying America. IMO Bush* is doing more to destroy the America I love than all the terrorist in the world could possibly ever do. We can rebuild buildings and people will be mourned but replaced but the idea of America as envisioned by our founding fathers is being rapidly destroyed and no one in America appears to notice..The world is noticing but Americans are very much like the ostrich and won't notice anything until their head is on the chopping block and by then it is too late.. If America is only a hunk of rock and trees Bush* isn't doing very hot either. Pollution has increased drastically under his watch and animals are dying in record numbers..If America is just a bunch of diverse people Bush* is failing in their protection as well. Katrina ring any bells? Exactly how is Bush* "Protecting America"? Killing Arabs just ain't gunna do it...We need the idea of America protected every bit as much as the people or the land, and Bush* is failing in every regard...IMO

America is a professional wrestler, kicking the shit out of anyone who talks smack to us. The constitution is boring. What channel is that on?

War isn't real either. It may look like we're losing in Iraq, but it's just a matter of time before we "Hulk out" and comeback and win. The war is a mano a mano showdown between our man * and a handful of Arab heels over there. Hussein, Zarqawi, bin Laden.

That's the kind of mass delusion that television has cultivated in this country.

the military protects those interests. this has been our foreign policy since the conflict with the barbary coast pirates.

read howard zinn, and give up hope that the idea of america will be protected by america's government.
