Is He Wearing A Wire? ....
He starts out his answer rambling - then all of a sudden he seems like he has the right answer. Like somebody is telling him what to say.

Say ramblin man why don't you settle down - DC ain't your kinda town.

1. He said, "Let me finish" again
(when apparently no one was interrupting him).

3. Uh huh
Any way some electronic whiz could maybe find out? It would seem to me an investigative reporter would want to try.

15. Probably not.

First of all you are not likely to get into the hall with the type of equipment you'd need.

Secondly the communication is using frequency hopping (each transmission is on a different frequency and only for like 1/10th of a second)......further the signal is most definately HIGHLY encrypted between the transmitter and the receiver...so in addition to the radio equipment you'd need a supercomputer to do a brute-force attack on the encryption (i bet they are using at least 1024 bit encryption).

They woudln't be using this if they thought they could get caught, I'd be a huge embaressement.

The NFL uses encrypted radio transmission for verbal communication between coaches and the QBs....encrypted so the opposing team can't listen in.

Now the only way you'd be able to do this is to preposition some sort of radio recording equipment and record all frequency bands and then go over the singals after the fact looking for signs of encrypted traffic, then use a super computer to break the encryption.

It'd probably cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to accomplish.

28. Apparently, you've considered the possibilities.
My best layman's guess is that one would have to miniaturize.

10. Every time he does that, it reminds me of Homer was in the witness...
relocation program on the Simpson's.

FBI agent: ok, mr. simpson, when I say, Hello Mr. Johnson you reply with, hi.

Homer: got it

FBI: Hello, Mr. Johnson.

Homer gives him a blank stare.

FBI: Mr. Simpson, when I say hello mr. johnson you respond, okay?

Homer: yes.

FBI: Hello, Mr. Johnson...

Homer is blank.

Time passes...the FBI agent, obviously tired and worn out.

FBI: ugh, mr. simpson, when I tap your foot and say hello, mr. johnson, you say, Hello.

Homer: got it.

FBI: Hello, Mr. Johnson (he taps homers foot)

Homer leans over to Bart

Homer (whispers): I think he's trying to come on to me.

FBI agent slaps his forehead in frustration.

25. That nails it for me
His prompter 'interrupted' him.

What a forking idiot.

Another story the NYSlime sat on before the 2004 election so as to 'prevent controversy'.

phone.

It sure looks that way...his "story" is being fed to him word by word. MKJ

7. I noticed that too
It's like he pauses and looks away for a little while, and then comes up with an answer. I wish somebody would prove that he's wired. Surely there must be a way to pick it up and record it.

9. CNN had it on their front page
A side view, the lump was back. I just went there to link it and they brought it closer so you don't see his back.

I did copy it when I first saw it, but I don't know how to post it. I don't think I got it in jpeg.

But it was there. Those creeps, I know that is why they changed it.

21. I don't mean debate bump
The picture CNN had was from Monday's press conference. A lovely side view that showed "the bump".
An hour later they had a zoomed in picture, so it was still a side shot but it didn't show his back

11. I wish someone would jam the damned communications between
his handlers and that little box he wears. Of course, he'd just cancel the questions and leave, but then at least we wouldn't have to listen to his lies anymore.

17. While detecting..
.... such a device, assuming it uses RF transmission, would indeed be very difficult, jamming it would be trivial.

Just pump some high powered broadband RF noise into the area, and nobody is going to receive anything.

Of course, such an action would be illegal. I would suggest to anyone wishing to do it that they be in a moving vehicle and be ready to leave the area after a few minutes :)

23. In the text of the speech "Let me finish" makes sense--
--this time. He had started to say "There's a difference" and then there was an off-mike interruption question, after which he said "let me finish."
