I know what he MEANT to say, but...
does Bush REALLY think we have Senators from Los Angeles, and Senators from Las Vegas? (from his Q/A this morning)

1. What do you want for a guy who didn't have a passport
until he was elected?

2. Well, actually, we do, but they are "State Senators", not "Federal"
What a clueless idiot...he should just keep his trap shut....

3. I thought of that too, but...
...prior to saying" Senators from Los Angeles and Senators from Las Vegas"...he said" Senators from New York"... (which I thought meant Schummer(sp?) and Clinton).... I didn't think he was talking about state government. Why would he be?

I thought he meant to say "Senators from New York..Senators from California....Senators from Nevada"...

No matter....the guy seems so out-of-touch with reality these days ...nothing he says surprises me.

What DOES surprise me is that he thinks AMERICANS are stupid...and won't even notice.

6. Well, sadly, a lot of Americans are stupid or clueless and aren't paying
attention....The idiot boy could say anything and some folks in this country would nod and say "oh, yeah, I guess that must be true". In fact, I believe its those very people that these speeches over the last week have been directed towards. They are desperately hoping to hang on to the little base they have and hope that if they say things enough times, it will just make it true.

I'm in Canada right now on vacation with the Pachafamily....Canadians are just in utter disbelief to watch what is happening in the US. In fact, just today, a few Canucks and some Aussies who are here vacationing were asking me whether there are more Americans that think like me, because they just watch in disbelief that Americans seem to be ignoring the things happening in our country. They said they can't believe that Bush hasn't been impeached or that their has been unrest and anarchy in our country. They just assume that because there hasn't been that people are fine with what is happening.

I've tried to explain that there are many that realize what's going on and are not okay with it. I explain that they just aren't seeing it, because that's what the Bush Gov't wants the world to believe. In any event, the folks up here in the North (and down under) are all watching and just hope there is some change versus it continuing to go down the road into darkness.

I will say that it was interesting last night watching the CBC nightly news...they did a tongue in cheek review of the Bush Co.'s strategy to combat criticism....they showed a montage of clips ranging from Cheney's comments last month about War Critics, to the disgusting comments from Rep. Schmidt of Ohio about Murtha, to criticisms from any int'l representatives and the Bush Co. response, including the recent ones by the US Ambassador to Canada that has created an uproar here in Canada.

4. Thank you
I was laughing out loud when I heard that (on Rush)

He did follow it up to say that people should ask them if these CITIES were safer...
