The Dems need to take over the term "Conservative"
Because the current regime is anything BUT Conservative. They should actually be called Neo-Cons or "Radicals" WE are actually more Conservative than they are.

I've noticed that people who think of themselves as "Conservatives" are very proud of that term.

The Repubs have overturned, changed, radicalized and/or tried to change just about everything that was in existence from Clinton's and other President's Terms: Environmental Laws, Treaties, Medicare, turned the Surplus into a Deficit, completely changed our foreign policy (that had pretty much been in place through Republican and Democratic Administrations), has done things that are against the Law and/or the Constitution. The Patriot Act is also a completely Radical act.

1. What we really need to do is this...
I am a Democrat. The pricks in office are Republicans.

I have many Liberal ideals and beliefs.

I also have many Conservative ideals and beliefs (such as, I am very tight with my financial situation).

We need to call ourselves Democrats and them Republicans.

5. We need to do more "framing" - it works - the Repubs are killing us w/it
I don't think we're going to start winning until we start fighting "fire with fire."

This stuff all started with Newt Gingrich and they've been winning ever since despite doing things that are totally against the majority of Americans.
