Why is Bush whining about the Patriot Act extension?
Edited on Mon Dec-19-05 08:20 PM by beaconess
After all, if the Constitution and War Authorization gives Bush the power to "perteck Amuricah" as he sees fit, he don't need no stinkin' Patriot Act. Why can't he just grant himself the power to authorize what the Patriot Act permits? And if he doesn't do it and Amuricah gets attacked in the absence of the Patriot Act, wouldn't that be HIS fault for not doing what he needed to do to keep us safe, law or no law?

2. It's all politics, it's only politics, the politics of campaigning is all
they know.

Throwing a hissy fit over a pause for Congressional oversight is the spoiled prince's tool for manipulating his followers. If you've ever raised a teenager you will recognize this instantly.

3. He says we can't live without it, even for minutes, but rejects a 3 mo
extension.

He can't have it both ways. Does he go both ways? Hmmm....
A question for Gannon/Gosh/Guckert.

4. But why can't he live without it? If he has the power he claims to have
he doesn't need it.
