Warner 7th most popular governor, most popular southern governor
According to SurveyUSA, who tracks all 50 governors, Mark Warner is the seventh most popular governor in the country and the most popular southern governor.

Last month, Warner's approval rating stood at 67%. He's been above 60% for months, not an easy fete according to Newschannel 10 Political Analyst Dr. Bob Denton.

"It's a historic level in terms of being very popular in virtually three of his four years in office... breaking the 50% mark," Denton said. "That's a very strong number."

Dr. Denton predicts Warner will finish out his term with a near 70% approval rating. That's higher than Governors Jim Gilmore, George Allen, and Doug Wilder at the end of their terms.

3. I like Warner, but I am sick of Governors
Governors are neophytes when it comes to foreign policy and working w congress. JMHO

That being said if Warner gets the nomination I will parade throught the streets telling everybody I know how WONDERFUL HE IS.

4. "Warner crushed in '08 Presidential race - supporters flummoxed"
"He was a very popular Governor", they say, "we can't understand what happened."

Running mate Joe Biden was unavailable for comment. :)

6. Supporters of (name yer far lefty candidate) Say Their Guy Was Cheated!
Despite drawing on 5% of primary votes and not even finishing third in any of them, supporters of ____________ still feel he/she should bypassed the democratic process and should have been given nomination.

5. He has definitely brought some management/fiscal sense to
VA govt. Gilmore left this place in a fiscal disaster with taxes slashed to the point there was no way to govern sanely. Even with the Repubs. owning the legislature, Warner has been able to cobble together enough bipartisan sensibility to restore VA's govt. to the point that schools can be operated and roads fixed.
