The Hammer May Fall
I am not just talking about Tom Delay. Although he may fall as a result of what may happen soon. The Washington Post reported that Jack Abramoff is trying to work out a plea deal in which he gets a reduced sentence for providing evidence against Republican lawmakers now under investigation.

8. If his donation pattern is any indicator
Then that would lead to about 93 convictions on the GOP side of the aisle, and seven for the Democrats.

I'm comfortable with those numbers.

10. Me too!
I think we need to get rid of ANYONE who had dealings with this guy. And he should just be the start. We have got to end corruption in the political arena, period!!!!

11. Jack has been always about himself, he will sing loud and clear..
No doubt what so ever. I don't think for one minute that jackie is the "take one for the team" type of guy. He's the "fuck you, I'm saving my own skin" type. All roads lead to jack, he's a fool's fool if he decides to be a repuke alter boy in this.

4. I hope he does, but I question why he would????
I'm positive he would get a pardon from Shrubie, so he doesn't have to worry about serving time. Why would he even consider singing?

7. Money
A pardon will not give back any montary penalty, it would only reduce or eliminate jail time.

Remember that Scanlon agreed in his plea deal to return 19 million. What would he have faced if he haddened peaded?

6. Anyone know if Congressman Ney has showed up at the office this morning?
I wouldn't be surprised if he were in a fetal position under his bed.

9. Until he actually names names I'm not buying any of it
Only because he may try to plea bargain and then give out the names of a few democrats he donated money to and nothing else.

It's ironic that Tom Delay also announced his re-election plans even with the indictment charges looming over his head. Could Abramoff & Delay be up to some sneaky tricks that not only would get Abramoff off the hook but clear up Delay's charges.

THis isn't saying that democrats shouldn't be held responsible. If any democrat took money and provided favors for that money then they need to also be held accountable. But the evidence has overwhelmingly showed that republicans favored more thant he democrats, I'm just worried that we might not hear that from Abramoff
