2. Didn't congress get a chance to weigh in on his plans beforehand?
He chose to consult the other branches before proceeding.

Obviously he wasn't bent on expanding executive powers, the way bush & the neocons are. I guess in their deluded little minds, expanded executive power is somehow more acceptable than the general 'big skeery gubbermint!' boogeyman their herders use so effectively.

3. No...

Clinton did it by the book...so did Carter...

The right wingers are throwing this talking point out there to distract again...but so far I have seen on MSNBC that they are debunking the story...shouldn't be that hard...it looks like Drudge is the one passing the story out...

Here is a Fact Check from ThinkProgress that debunks what they right wing quacks are trying to use...

4. No, Clinton did not do that.
That is simply a right-wing lie designed to justify the criminal actions of Bush. It doesn't even justify Bush. So, they have lied for nothing.

6. They are taking a few words out of context. It is total and
typical Republican BULLSHIT! WHICH I AM SO FUCKING SICK OF I COULD FUCKING PUKE. DELIBERATE BULLSHIT SHOULD BE A CAPITAL OFFENSE.

7. Bill Clinton would have been behind bars if he had done that
They tried every trick in the trade to get him in prison, using his personal indisgressions; does anyone think he could have gotten away with something that was illegal? This is just a figment of their imagination, and something to make their boy-king seem like an average Joe.

19. They wouldn't have impeached him for sex if he'd
commited a real crime like this one.

8. even if he had...
That would have been a better reason for impeaching him, rather than the one they used. That they used a blowjob as justification instead is a demonstration of how much of a non-issue this actually is.

9. Why? Did Rush,Hannity,O'Reilly and the usual suspects say he did?
Wouldn't surprise me in the least. Clinton also raped nuns, said the term "Merry Christmas" should be made illegal and freebased crack in the Oval office while doing Monica.

He did, just ask all the flaming crackpot RW'ers, they'll tell you as much.

11. My point is even if Clinton did it doesn't matter one bit
it's still illegal-impeachable offense. The neo-con argument is infantile.

15. He didn't. It's been established that he followed the rules.
"We do need to care if he did" is completely irrelevant. We'd also need to care if he'd turned into the Easter Bunny, but since he didn't we don't need to give it another moment's thought.

20. I never said he did do it.
But we should always watch what our leaders are doing, Democrat or Republican. Otherwise we're just being stupid.

17. Doesn't matter
This is the "but Mom, all the other Presidents are doing it excuse"...

The law is the law is the law.

If Clinton, Bush I, Reagan, or Carter did it in the past, they TOO broke the law. If the statute of limitations hasn't run out then they TOO should be prosecuted.

Somehow, I think that it is all just a desperate attempt to distract us though.

Just tell them what I said above.

18. Wrong answer
instead of "Who cares", the answer is "No, he did not, and no amount of lying by hate radio or cabal 'news' will change that"
