why do we need to give up more rights in 'fight vs terrorism' than in
Cold War???.......weren't Soviets a bigger threat???

there were indeed problems with civil rights then (see, eg, McCarthyism) but I don't remember constant propaganda that we 'need' to set aside the constitution

and what about WWII??? a real shooting world war that supposedly wasn't as dangerous as the 'war on terror'?????

:sarcasm: but of course '9-11 changed everything' :sarcasm:, most especially who we are as Americans.....now we dump the constitution and torture any one we want and invade any country that doesn't do what we tell it to do
