It's our country, it's our government, and those who inhabit its offices are our employees and servants. They just have problems remembering that sometimes, so we need to provide them with a little education, in the sense of they need to get taught. We have moved too far from the central American (as in centrality, not south of the border) principle that government is by, of and for the people, that it is just an extension of, and expression of the will of, the people. If we don't like it, it is up to us to change it, and if there are problems that persist and continue to bother us, then maybe that's an indicator that we need to prioritize addressing them over being good wage earners, acquiring consumer comforts, etc. Otherwise we will just be well-off (for the time being) slaves. Of our peers. And I haven't met anyone yet who merited master status... Instead of looking for the UN to be a nanny, why don't we take matters into our own hands as the Founders intended, and fulfill our legal role, that of the public, in our nation's structure. It's ours, and it exists only because of and for us. We the people. Government, society and business exist only to serve our interests. Let's all remember that and then act accordingly. It ain't a representative democracy for nothing.
