Begging forgiveness, wrenching himself free from his penchant for first-strike bloodletting and hideous torturers standing ready with the ice bath. Begging forgiveness for the soldiers with nightsweats and soldiers forever frightened by the sound of their neighborhood`s 4th of July firecrackers. Soldiers who wince when a door slams. Soldiers paralyzed, alone with a copy of Christopher Reeves`, STILL ME. Begging forgiveness for the Iraqi child left with nothing but the dangerous dust of his white phosphorus-ed mother. Begging forgiveness for caskets shipped as regular cargo, shoved in alongside someone`s vacation fishpole or after-skiing warm up suit.

George W. Bush is far worse than some idiotic, underachiever Karl Rove learned he could manage. Bush is a brutal man, a no-holds-barred bully. Don`t cross him. Don`t say "no" to him. Don`t question him.

The unmitigated suffering Bush has caused, the destruction he has perpetrated on this country, this world, the laws he has scoffed at, the people he has crushed....honestly....I believe we`re in peril and Bush must be impeached.
