He's a goner, if it comes out, that any well known American was spied upon for a bogus reason. And, I don't think Rove would be able to keep his hand out of the cookie jar. So, it should be interesting.

2. um
They could just claim that said well-known American was, in fact, supporting terrorism. Hey, it fooled most of the sheep re: Saddam...

I would put nothing below those <repeated nasty expletives>.

6. Electronic Watergate
That's what I'm thinking. They will hide behind terrorism, as always, but I'm betting they used these means of snooping for their own political reasons. I'm betting they spied on Kerry, Dean, etc.

7. A third rate (electronic) burglary
My guess is if you examined the phones of the Kerry campaign you'd find extensive evidence of tapping. Once the parallels with Watergate start cropping up it just a matter of time.

8. Put down for $100 on spying on John Kerry.
In Ohio computers were hacked through 5 & 6 firewalls, phones lines were blocked or tapped,
and the bush campaign seemed to always know what the Kerry folks were doing.

I willing to bet you that they had operatives inside the campaign too.

12. Karl was off duty for the day?
Karl has never allowed Bush to admit a wrong about anything. Of course, Bush admitted doing it, but said it was right, not wrong.

13. Col. Jessup, "A Few Good Men"
Arrogant men can't stand having their actions questioned, and they loathe having to lie about it, as though our puny opinions meant anything. By admitting it, he's essentially showing his true nature: "I'm the fucking President, I can do whatever I want. So go fuck yourselves."

It's up to us to prove him wrong.

14. the NY Yimes spilled the beans ......
* tried to do damage control and just added gas to the fire. Remember he called in the executive
editor and the publisher of the Times in early Dec. to ask them to kill the story. They already had
held the story for over year. "They" didn't want to influence the election with news because that
would have been wrong.

? how many reporters, editors, papers, networks, academics (Prof. Turgnutt ???? University of Michigan
early release of the exit polls spoiled their validity), and talking heads are on the republican tit?
