Warbloggers Already Blaming "Smelly Hippies"
For War Gone Wrong

Yep, I should've known that these little freakish hell beast would pound this out on their cheeto dust encrusted keyboards sooner or later.

Latest Iraqi war casualty -- conservative belief in personal responsibility

I'll use Glenn Greenwalds site so that I don't give the warnographers any more hits, and Glen has an excellent blog worth the time.

My use of the term "Smelly Hippies" is ironic and harkens to that great conservative myth that war protestors lost us 'Nam.

Everything old is new again, so it would seem

4. Of course. Perhaps we can fly another idiot flag too.
For 30 more years to constantly remind us of how the left once again treasonously prevented our brave soldiers from achieving victory. Too bad we don't have a Jane Fonda for them, or any POW-MIAs to mythologize about. Perhaps we can work on that. They control everything and yet they take responsibility for nothing.

12. Personal responsibility? Bush is using the highest court to weasel
out of personal responsibility. How does that look to them?

14. "Conservative belief in personal responsibility" ???????
Personal responsibility?

Fer fucks sake!

This pResident has taken NO responsibility for any of his crimes and failures. He hobbles forward, bankrupting the country and murdering innocent Iraqi citizens and US soldiers. His inability to take personal responsibility--and admit TOTAL FUCKING FAILURE--are the hallmarks of his failed, sick administration.

This pResident lies about everything. His mantra is that he will do what he wants--despite the will of the American people or what the law says. He is not responsible or respectful of our nation. He's spit on the Founding Fathers.

Responsible? The man is a child...a petulant, sociopathic thug, grease ball.

When has he EVER taken responsibility for any of his failures? NEVER...because he doesn't acknowledge that he has failed, at anything.

20. Conservatives believe in everybody else's responsibility
and blame any failure on an inadequate attempt to implement conservatism.

As another poster pointed out - this is the same strategy as used by hard-core Leninists.

/me is a born-again Communist

16. In 2003
Those of us who opposed the invasion of Iraq were called the 10%ers. Derided, mocked and insulted as loonies and, inexcusably, as "traitors".
Today that tiny group is accused of creating "a rabidly partisan divided front".

The wingnutz are going to have a tough time placing blame for the catastrophic collapse of Iraq on us 10%ers.
But they're already trying. Shifting blame for their total failure.
Personal responsibility, ya know.

17. Well, I guess this 'ole hippie will have to come clean...
Some of us "dirty hippies" actually protested, went into service and then got back in time to protest some more but many of my comrades in arms didn't get the chance for a final protest. I think protesting takes as much patriotism and courage as military service.
