"Shays supports Lieberman bid"
Pretty sad when it's the opposition that supports you.

"STAMFORD (AP) — Republican Congressman Christopher Shays said Tuesday that he plans to vote this year for Democratic Sen. Joe Lieberman and encouraged other GOP officials to endorse the three-term senator."

2. What it mostly says is that Shays is in trouble....
Guess you missed some of the story.....

"But spokesmen for top Republicans said Tuesday evening that GOP officials were not supporting Lieberman. ...Lieberman, who has faced criticism from his own party for his support of the war in Iraq, will not accept a cross-endorsment, his spokeswoman said.
“Would he accept the endorsement of the Republican Party? No, he is seeking the Democratic Party nomination,” said Casey Aden-Wansbury, Lieberman’s communications director. "

4. Shays has a tough opponent this year and wants to latch on to a popular
Senator in his state.

6. I wouldn't be surprised if McCain chooses JoeMomentum as his running mate
on the GOP ticket in 2008 and that Liberman switches parties while still holding his seat. That is, unless he gets bounced in the primary.

Really.
