1. He won by 5000 votes, mostly because of "early votes".

4. Cuellar made it without a runoff. It really sucks.
But we do have a runoff for Al Edwards' seat, another DINO in the state house.

8. I'm not in DeLay's district, but have lots of friends
who are, check out the Texas Forum some time http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topics&forum=180

My preferred candidate didn't win in my congressional district, but I will support his opponent against DeLay lapdog Culberson.

Harris county uses E-Slate machines, which are not touch screen but produce no paper trail. We are working hard to get a VPAT requirement going for them. Part of DeLay's district is in Fort Bend County and some of them were given the option of paper vs. electronic. Again, the Texas forum has more info.
