Dubai is like the Cam Ranh Bay of the Vietnam War....

Cam Ranh was one of the deepest ports in that part of the world. The US used it extensively during the Vietnam War years. As soon as we withdrew from Vietnam, the Russians came in took over the port in Cam Ranh. It is my understanding that the Russians were hated by the Vietnamese villagers nearby.

But the analogy being that if we had to withdraw from Dubai, that would probably be the end of Bush's war? Would that be good or bad? What if they stopped shipping all that Walmart stuff to us? Would that be good or bad? Would that mean the jobs would have to move back to America? We would all pay higher prices for "stuff" but if we wanted it , it would need to be made by American workers. Would that be so bad?

People will have to buy (gasp!) American-made products again.

No ships - no products. No products, no jobs overseas.
