The GOP drew DU into the Hillary stuff.
Whenever they are in serious trouble they start with getting the talking points out on Bill and Hill. And then it carries here into DU, and we all either love or hate or in between.

They are very clever, very good.

1. Right you are!
Because "they" have nothing for 06 so "they" want everybody to talk about Hillary in 08 ....
which is a non issue.

2. Nah, DU'ers don't need the GOP to make them hate Hillary
Most people here are perfectly capable of hating her without any help from outside forces!

I like her, though, for what it's worth.

3. It shouldn't matter to ANYONE on DU...
...because all I keep being told by Hillary's supporters is that DU does not represent actual democrats.

SO WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU WORRIED ABOUT? If DU doesn't represent democrats, Hillary should win easily, and you're wasting your time telling others what to think.

4. Was that directed to me? Perhaps you misread my post.
I think you did. It was kind of tongue in cheek about this happens here so much.

I have no feeling for Hill or Bill right now one way or the other very much.

9. Actually, it was just mis-placed sarcasm
I am being dogged by a couple posters trying to shout me down for suggesting that Hillary is polarizing.

I find it hysterical that the DLC'ers have been so freaked out at my posts that they've resorted to trying to make that case that DU is only full of nut-bags, and therefore not actually representative of democrats.

Can't you just taste the irony? Sorry I gave you the impression that I was flaming...I just forgot my little :sarcasm: icon.

6. Just keep smiling
It's almost certain that we'll be voting on the old lever machines and there is no cross-over primary voting in NY. Hillary will keep her Senate seat. :-)

When there is so much work to be done during an election year, worrying about future elections seems
counterproductive. I really don't understand it.

8. You're absolutely right.
Sad these DUers don't see that. Funny how no one seems to mind or care they are trying to trash Kerry at the same time. It's all so pathethic. And deliberate.

11. Make no mistake....
The MSM has been talking up the idea of Hillary-for-president since 2001. This is nothing new.

The Republicans are just jumping on the bandwagon more intensely in order to divert attention away from their own misdeeds (Abramoff, BBV, etc.)

12. You're absolutely right...diversion
As you said, to divert attention from their own corrupt, inept, criminal activities. You knowwhen Screamer goes on and on about Hillary every night on Hardball he's desperate and only USING her to distract. It gets old. I have to avoid those threads...or they'd drive me crazy(er).

14. it was all a very sophisticated plot ...
to truly understand just how devious the republicans are, and how easily duped some DU'ers are, you have to look way back to when bush first came into office ...

from day one, they realized they would have to find a way to "set the trap" ... Iraq was the perfect plan ...

bush pressured Congress to pass the IWR and then invaded Iraq ... Hillary called for an even more hawkish position on the war than bush had ...

and voila ... a couple of republican moles to fan the anti-war sentiment on DU and the die was cast ...

the whole Iraq war has been nothing but a Rovian plot to turn DU against Hillary ...
