This is the most offensive Republican ad I've ever seen
from C&L-

Vernon Robinson's sick commercial

http://www.crooksandliars.com.nyud.net:8090/images/Vernon1.jpg http://www.crooksandliars.com.nyud.net:8090/images/Vernon.jpg http://www.crooksandliars.com.nyud.net:8090/images/Vernon2.jpg

This is isn't a joke or a parody commercial. It's just insane. Robinson is running for Congress in North Carolina and he uses the Twilight Zone theme to attack gays, judges, African Americans and just about anything or anyone else you can think of.

and the update from C&L-

Vernon Robinson removes offensive commercial from website

I posted this hideous commercial yesterday on C&L to point out the depravity of it and now Robinson has pulled it off of his website. In the "Vernon's Latest Ads," it now says: "Coming soon!" We can only wonder what he'll put up next.

1. Perhaps someone wrestled he & his campaign manager down
and gave them rabies vaccine? Attention voters: Rabid dogs do not make good leaders.

2. I saw this
Thanks for posting it. It's like a laundry list of all their usual code words, without the code.

3. Oh sweet irony - that ad looks like IT came out of the Twilight Zone.
Creepy - manipulative - poor taste.

4. go figure
a tv set from the fifties and leave it to beaver as the wrap. Ozzie and Harriet were a TV show, not reality. Odd that he refers to a time in America when racism was not only accepted but enforced.

Good on ya mate.

10. And the only time you saw a black face on the telly
...they were either getting the car for Jack Benny, prancing about in a maid's costume with a duster, or tap dancing on the Lawrence Welk show...

Gotta wonder who's advising that clown!!!!!

5. Keith O. showed the clip last night and then discussed it with
David Shuster. Hope you saw it.

6. But, but, but...
all these supposedly terrible things have been happening under a Republican president, a Republican congress, a Republican Supreme Court and state legislatures controlled by Republicans.

So, wouldn't voting for this guy just produce more of the same?

7. It ends with a scene
that looks like it came from Leave it to Beaver. I think he has his reality confused.

11. He should have had Dave Chappelle do the scene for him
Of course, he might not like the way it turns out!

8. Saw it on Keith Olbermann last night. Sickening.

It is amazng that anyone in their right mind could actually have created this and put it on their website.

Vernon Robinson is not in his right mind. If I remember correctly he seriously ran for office last time as the "black Jesse Helms".

12. One of the creepiest parts is the way "Vern"
tried to "smile" at the end. You could just feel the warmth, couldn't you? It would have been less creepy if he just maintained an icy cold stare.

13. The ad was pulled
even the GOP found it offensive. Sadly though, it probably does reflect many of the "values" that are held by Repugs in that district.

Vernon Robinson sounds like he has the IQ of Cool Whip. He is more reactionary than Sanscrotum and that is hard to do.
