Abu Bush's Carlyle Group to invest in infrastructure

Private equity firm The Carlyle Group established a team to acquire public-purpose facilities such as ports a day after a United Arab Emirates company said it would transfer newly acquired operations at American ports to a U.S. organization.

Doesn't most of their capital come from middle-east, non-democratic governments and rulers?

Why don't we just start calling Bush 41 "Abu Bush"?
And the chimp would be "ibn Bush".

1. I wouldn't trust Halliburton or Carlyle.
I wouldn't trust any corporation which hasn't been run through an objective SEC investigation.

2. I think that's been their plan all along ...
... so totally decimate the public infrastructure of the country, and short-fund/eliminate financing for most programs that folks feel their goverment 'should' provide, to the point that there will be no more 'federal government' and/or 'state government' --- drown it in a washtub, isn't that what Norquist said ? --- so that their crony firms can come in and 'bid' for contracts to run the country.

Not so much to 'take away civil liberties' and all that, although I'm fairly certain that Bushco et al do think we plebes have more than we deserve - but because of the MONEY.

They're setting themselves up to be the biggest welfare queens in history, with a direct line to the federal checkbook. Pretty soon instead of civil servants, they'll all be on either the Carlyle, Bechtel, or Halliburton payroll.

:scared:
