Is this who we should be keeping our eye out for in 2008? Seems to me McCain has pissed off too many Republican righties to get the nod. Hagel is similar in temperement, willing to buck his leadership, but hasn't really burned the bridges McCain has.

Got him elected in less than pristine circumstances. But how many Americans know about this? No more than a handful. The MSM sure won't cover it, and the Dems won't bring it up.

I don't see how he'll be able to recover from that, if he's on the GOP ticket in '08.
