Feingold Clip on CNN -- what is Soledad O'Brien's problem?!?
Check out the clip, posted on Yahoo:
http://news.yahoo.com/

Is it considered being "smart" to be argumentative in broadcasting? Sheeesh.

Soledad argues that we don'KNOW whether Chimpy broke the law. Just because he broke the law (by not getting warrants as required by law) doesn't mean he broke the law -- we need to wait and find out! What is it we're supposed to "find out" and why does she think BushCo will reveal anything more?!?

4. She's probably trying to hard...
...to continue doing an impersonation of a real journalist.

They really should keep her on the "human interest" type stuff, where her fake concern for the human condition is actually applicable.

By harping on liberal bias for so long, the conservatives have gotten what they want--a media so afraid of appearing biased that they do backwards handsprings in a rightward direction. Funny.

20. Good choice! Remember the Bill Hemmer, Jack Cafferty, Soledad...
Team? I referred to them as the Jock, the Coach. and the Cheerleader.

Hemmer, now on Fox...
Cafferty, still fixated on the Clintons in In the Money...
Soledad, grasping, cause the ratings are in a freefall...

Just part of the race to the bottom. Thank Focks news and corporate shareholders for the useless shithouses that new media has become. Wait that's not fair to shithouses, they have a use.

6. She has to be one of the biggest IDIOT Harvard grads.
I have no idea how she managed to graduate from Harvard. She's so vacuous and petty.

Thank HEAVENS! That Miles O'Brien is there to balance out her stupidity.

19. She hit the politically correct trifecta - multiracial w/ prof. parents
Edited on Mon Mar-13-06 11:12 AM by NoodleyAppendage
I'm not casting judgment one way or the other, but I would note that her background is right up the alley of the rampantly politically-correct Harvard admissions committee.

She hails from a multiracial couple with a first generation immigrant father (Australia); both parents are professional types with advanced degrees. Having this pedigree is more than enough to bump up any flagging SAT scores.

I'm not saying that she couldn't gain admittance on her own efforts, but it's clear from watching her for years that she was not admitted to Harvard for intellectual honesty or a nuanced appreciation of journalistic ethics.

10. Two things
1. I am so damn happy to be from Wisconsin when I see Russ talk. I wish he was president.
2. Soledad is so god damn stupid it just hurts to listen to her. I like how Feingold gave her the mental smackdown a couple times and she didn't even get it.

11. It sounded like an adult explaining something to a surly teenager
Edited on Mon Mar-13-06 10:46 AM by Armstead
She was like a teenager who is determined to become a famous fashion model or something, and doesn;t understand that it is not something that comes automatically.

But he had a great comeback to her. "Appearently the administration's spin has managed to convince YOU that it's legal, when almost everyone acknowledges that it was not."

I suspect in the back of his mind was the temption to add "...you shallow airhead."

15. In real life, if they opened the bank vault on Monday morning and
it was empty -

  1. We would know a law had been broken
  2. We might not know who broke it
  3. There would be an investigation into who broke into it
  4. There would be indictments filed and a courtroom trial

Here we know -

  1. The law says you must get the warrants
  2. The law was passed specifically due to a previous Presidential abuse of powers
  3. The person has publically confessed multiple times to breaking this law
  4. If I were caught speeding, the cop can claim I was speeding and breaking the law - they still have to prove it in court. If I admitted it, no need for proof in court - judge can pass sentence.

16. Feingold toke her apart
on the question of whether * broke the law. She said there's still a lot of debate about that. He said, in so many words, that she was parroting RNC talking points, and that even Republican Senators admit the law was broken (as does the Administration, for crying out loud).

That said, Soledad has always been a total nightmare. She has the face of a little thug who will do anything in her power to defend her material position. I can't wait until she implodes and CNN puts a new empty suit out there for us all to make fun of.

29. My e-mai to CNN .....
under my real name and real e-mail address ......

Soledad, were you trying to be a 'hard hitting jouralist' in your dust up with Sen Finegold earlier today? What kind of 'journalist' engages in debate with a newsmaker (which Sen Finegold surely was today)?

You came off as petty, small, shrill, and biased.

Sadly, you are either now comfortable enough to show your true bias or you're so cowed by the power structure that you just argue with any viewpoint opposing the power structure on an instinctive basis.

Shame on you. Harvard should revoke your degree.
