Frist tries to rush censure vote. Speaks before Feingold - ANNOUNCES

that Republicans are ready to vote on censure immediately after Feingold speaks. Sarbanes may have been the only person on the floor as he had just finished speaking. He heard Frist and objected. Sarbanes said that Reid had not been told. Then Frist said they will be ready to vote tomorrow. Sarbanes objected. Reid appeared and is speaking. (My impression of what just happened.)

Edited to add - censure resolution, not the censure vote itself.

for the Budget bill.

Feingold speaks for less than a minute and Spector interrupts and asks for a copy of the Resoltution. Feingold says he is ready to distribute it at the end of the speech. Spector wants it now. Feingold agrees.

So, we have Censure Resolutionon on NSA proposal in the middle of the Budget bill while Frist ready to vote on the Resoltution in the middle of the Budget bill. ???
