The Repubs are addressing the NSA while the Dems
talk about everything else during the this morning's one minute floor speeches (C-Span). Thanks to resounding democratic silence yesterday, the republicans are accusing them of wanting to 'censure the president over monitoring AQ communications' today and not one democrat is rebutting or responding or, so far, has thought to address domestic spying. The republicans know what we know, that this is NOT an issue democrats are willing to address. What a wasted opportunity.

1. I am disgusted!
I've tried to call my Senators today and I'm getting a busy signal. Hopefully that means that others are calling to tell them to support the censure resolution.

3. Keep trying,
I got through to Schumer yesterday and his staff informed he that he 'has no official position'. THAT pissed me off. I haven't gotten through to Clinton's office yet but the day is long and I'm going to keep trying.

We've got to let them know that it's not okay with us that they let this drop or that they let the republicans turn it into an unpatriotic thing. NO CITIZEN likes the idea of one person having the right to spy on anyone he chooses and with no accountability. The republicans were too flustered to even remember that old diddy on the day of the resolution but they got the idea from those damned newspaper articles following Feingold's resolution. To a one they described democrats hesitating and backing away from Feingold as fast and far as possible, afraid to look too 'extreme'. Extreme? Republicans are extreme! There are many on the floor today doing good work and speaking to issues that need to be spoken too but there's more they can do and they will not unless forced and it's up to us to do that forcing.

2. Have any Dems even mentioned it?
I'm disappointed Boxer hasn't come out. WTF? I guess the president is above the law. Speeding ticket. Let him go with a warning. :eyes:
