Making a NOTE, JUST for the RECORD,
Edited on Fri Mar-17-06 10:02 PM by FrenchieCat
In case some forget later during a primary or somethin', Evan Bayh, who should have his ass out campaigning for 2006 Democratic congressional candidates (especially in Red States) is doing Presidential small talk instead.....and showing his true self!

Bayh told reporters that he does not support efforts by Sen. Russ Feingold, D-Wis., another potential 2008 presidential candidate, to censure Bush for authorizing domestic eavesdropping. Bayh said it's not clear whether the law requiring court approval before surveillance was broken, and he instead favors revisiting and possibly updating the law.

Alfafa wants to update the Law!....and make it retroactive, I guess!

Sometimes life is so full of excitement, we miss some things! ....I'm just sayin'

1. He's off my short list, but then again,
he's never been on any of my lists! :D He's another Gumby trying to maintain neutrality, when that's the last thing we need now.

2. Problem is that he is being touted as one of the media chosen 4....
Edited on Fri Mar-17-06 10:07 PM by FrenchieCat
That would be Clinton, Warner, Bayh and Edwards.

That's what they are givin' us according to the article that I linked up above.....and the Ronerbeg (or whatever his name is) also said the same thing in a Report column from yesterday.....

But they just seem like the Big war=chest folks....whether by fantabulous fundraising or personal fortune. "They" said it's gonna cost 100 million dollars for a candidate to win!

5. Where does the MSM get the nerve to tell us who our likely candidates are?
Why don't we tell them we want Clark to run but he hasn't decided yet? After all Hillary hasn't said she was a candidate either.

I get so mad when talking heads keep saying the Dems don't have a plan for how to get out of Iraq or any other domestic plans. I want to shout from the rooftops that "Clark has lots pf great plans. Why don't you fools just ask him? He'll give you a mouthful.

7. Does he have at least 10 million in the bank? Cause that's the only plan
The Corporate media will give the "Buzz" for. Far as they are concerned, everything else is Bullshit, i.e., money talks....unless they have a special plan....then they might give a contender some Buzz for their own specific purpose (and will take him/her down later, when they are finished them...at the right time for their convenience).

Capitalism has taken over just about everything, including our democracy!

But we have to keep our eyes on the prize....if we can get back in, through hook and crook in 2006, we may have a chance. Otherwise, we might have to "hang it up" or somethin'.....

3. Give him an hour or two, his stance will change ...
... he's never had a stance that didn't change, depending on the audience and prevailing weather pattern. He's about as spineless (and pointless) as a scrambled egg.

14. It's almost like what they say about Indiana's weather:
If you don't like it, wait five minutes and it will be something else.

Evan doesn't stand a chance and will not receive any of my support.

Subtle graphic, Frenchie!!

I don't understand how ANYbody -- especially a Democrat! -- can say "it's not clear whether the law was broken!!"

Has Warner spoken about the motion to censure, btw?

He ain't about to say anything that might put his career aspirations on the line.

Plus he's already mad about that NYT Magazine cover messing with the color of his tie!

15. This is the reason
I will not take for granted the democrat label anymore. I will vote only for candidates that will defend the constitution and the people. If both candidates for any particular office are against our freedoms, then I will withhold my vote. This is what the DLC has done to the process. And it forever has removed my trust to the point where I won't just vote a one party ticket, but just a democratic ticket (in the traditional sense) on a candidate by candidate basis.

16. To make the case bigger...
there are THREE close congressional races in Indiana - THREE - a potential to shift the congressional delegation from 7/2 r/d to 4/3 d/r. And here he is pumping his presidential aspirations rather than working hard to promote these races. Oh - bush (ugh!) is active trying to pump up $ for at least two of these races (Soderel and Chocola).

Oh - notice that he didn't mention that the proposed tweaking includes very broad language that expands the allowable spying (with no oversight) far beyond terrorism.

17. I guess that Bayh is too busy undermining Democrats to be able to
help anyone but himself!

And watch.....he will be one of our "Candidates". Not because he deserves it, but because the media likes the way he looks, and his resume makes him appear "suited" (empty suit, of course, is what I say)!
