Democrats have lost because we've had two F'd up elections. I don't know why? Maybe landslides would have helped. The Republicans pulled a couple of fast ones. And although the Republican were (and are) still up to their old tricks, the Democrats focused and won in 2005.

Positively speaking: The Republicans haven't been doing so hot (other than having infiltrated the government at every level through dubious means and owning the media). Gore could have been awarded Florida and the Republicans would still be licking their wounds.
IMO, the focus should be on crushing the Republicans in the election for subjecting us and the rest of the world to Bush for five years.
