Why is it so hard to understand that standing for principles means winning
in November?

Why do so many people simply assume that we have to be as Republican as possible to get elected?

One might assume (given the last 6 congresional elections) that the party as a whole really isn't interested in winning and/or has no principles that they believe are worth standing up for.

If people think that the Dems actions over the past 8 weeks are going to win them a majority in November, they're sorely mistaken. Seems to me that repeat of 2000, 2002 and 2004 is the probable outcome, despite the Republican implosion.

The Party's demoralized its base- and looked as weak and ineffectual as ever in the process. What have they given anyone to vote FOR or have any enthusiasm about?

"Not being Republicans" is about their only claim to fame-
