"The American public doesn't have the right. . .
to know diddily doo."

Watching the rerun of NOW on PBS and some "misadministration" shill actually said that in terms of the need for secrecy in Government.

1. Back in the day...
when I used to fall in line and believe all this bullshit, I'd have said "ok". Not anymore. They work for us. It's our tax dollars at work, and we have a right to know how our money is being spent, and what we're getting for it.

This "public doesn't have a right to know" statement is something that, as a kid, I was told that Communist Russia was all about. That was the way they did things over there, but not in the great US of A.

Lies, propaganda, bullshit, etc.....

2. yeah I almost fell off my chair
not only by the meaning of her statement but by her childishly patronizing word usage. I agree with you on all of your points and wonder increasingly often, "for what are we paying them ?"
