Last Friday, I wrote to you with an urgent appeal to support my friend, Senator Bill Nelson from Florida, as he battles Katherine Harris for re-election this year.

The response from the PAC for a Change community was amazing.

Thanks to your generous support, we have already raised more than $64,000 for Senator Nelson's campaign since Friday -- as well as more than $14,000 for PAC for a Change that we'll be able to use to support even more candidates.

I can't thank you enough for your help. Senator Nelson called me on Monday to thank all of us for our support, and he asked me to pass along his sincere gratitude to the entire PAC for a Change community.

if Bill Nelson can't beat Katherine Harris, then maybe he's the wrong candidate.

Bill Nelson voted for the one-sided bankrupty bill--a giveaway to the banks and credit card companies.

No money to those who vote for corporate interests over the public interest. They need to learn to vote like Democrats, if they vote money from real Democrats.

A donation of one penny will cost her quite a bit (thanks to the Credit Card industry:) ) but only cost you 1 penny.

why would it cost Katherine?

for every transaction. That's one reason CC cos. pushed to get "pay at the pump" for gasoline. You didn't think that was for the consumer's benefit, did you? :P It's also why they base their promotions and holiday gimmicks on each transaction you make - they collect a couple of bucks every time you make a transaction.

So if you give 1 cent to Katherine Harris, she has to spend whatever the cost is for your credit card's transaction fee. She nets a rather sizable loss, in comparison with the penny she collects from you.

If every Democrat gave one cent to the GOP, we'd bankrupt them in no time flat.

Sorry, there was ONCE a time long long ago, say about 1992 that I thought Nelson was okay. But I have now lost a lot os respect for him. I really wish we could find another candidate, but that's not going to happen.

I guess ANYTHING is better than Cruella, but I'm still not giving him money!
