I guess he's secure about Republicans keeping the majority in Congress in the mid term elections. Hmmmmm.....

I wish someone had asked him why he isn't concerned about losing the majority and being forced to deal with the deficit and the occupation of Iraq.

9. Fait d'accompli....unless you were making a wry joke.
Fait d'accompli means "already done" or "done deal".
Fete a compli might mean "party by accomplice" :)

which might be a very wry joke on your part.

13. I tried to find the right spelling! Thanks!
Tried finding it in Google but no luck. I wish I were subtle enough to make such a wry joke.

6. I don't think he cares, frankly
Unless the MSM gets mad at him, Bush is in the catbird seat. Let the Dems come in and clean up the military/decifict mess in 2008, and let the MSM hound them about how badly they're doing it. He's gambling that the people will be more than happy to vote in a Repug four years later. The bottom line is that Mister "I'm A War President" will have accomplished his mission: setting up a mechanism which allowed his campaign-contributing friends to swipe every dime they can. That's why the MSM is doing more talking about 2008 than 2006. And that's why our cries of impeachment or censure must not die down.

8. The point is how secure he is about this November
As if it's a done deal. Nothing to see there, move along. Someone needs to ask him "What if the R's lose complete control of Congress?" I'd just like to hear that asked.

7. Of Course. He's never solved a problem in his life.
He's always had Pops machine cleaning up after him. Why should he expect any different after serving in the White House?

10. This is what worries me....They Must Retain Power
I don't believe that they would have invested so much time and energy putting the PNAC plans in motion just to risk having the next administration void it. Therefore they have to had made plans to keep this ball rolling which means that they have plans to retain control of the nation.
Sorry to say but I don't think it's a coincidence we have warrant-less eavesdropping and searches, an expanded roll for the secret service uniformed division, and Halliburton getting a contract to build detention centers here in the states.
No coincidence at all. They have no intention to relinquish control.

11. Well, I sent Helen Thomas my question
Not that she'll ever get the chance to ask it or wish to do so. But it made me feel better just knowing that she's there.

12. Hope springs eternal, doesn't it?
I'd say Bush is the most optimistic person I've ever heard of. He thinks he'll get his ass out just in time for the 2008 elections scot-free?

Well, since Bush is known for his delusions, let me be the first one to tell him the real truth. Rubbing my crystal ball....

I see Bush continuing to slide in the polls. And I mean down in the toilet. Demonstrations are starting, much like the ones before Viet Nam came to an end. The treasury is looted, people are starting to demand a change. And this is all THIS YEAR, George.

He won't last until 2008.

But with a lot of hard work on our part, we'll cook his goose this November.

If he doesn't make it until '08, I hope we both have the pleasure of you're telling me "I told you so!".

15. Like the Chimp, I am sure that the next president ... and the next ....
...and the next (for generations) will be trying to "undo"/repair the damage to our country/world that the idiot has wrought.
