2. why shouldn't he?
she may actually represent his personal views better than anyone else that's a potential nominee in 2008.

6. It is a legitimate question
I don't like her because of her position on Iraq, running away from questions on censuring bush, and the wonderful compromise to avoid the "NUKE" option for filibustering

but I would like to hear some reasons by her advocates

Currently, there is no way I can vote for her

3. I don't know about that...
It seems a lot of 'Mercans like a little down home, cracker barrel drawl in their President. Bush goes so far as to fake some weird hybrid of a west Texas accent b/c his trainers think it makes him like a regular guy. I love a Minnesota/Wisconsin accent, but it's not as widely known as a southern accent. I think Feingold's good looks, intelligence and plain speaking serve him better. I just love the guy!

:loveya:

4. Well I grew up in Minnesota...
So I can appreciate how a fine Minnesota/Wisconsin accent makes anyone blessed with it sound more intelligent somehow!!!

9. Feingold is quite handsome, and I say this with utmost respect
I enjoyed seeing him on satellite on Jon Stewart's show last night. He is articulate, mild mannered, and would be a president to be proud of.

13. Hillary stands for nothing
She was even indifferent to Bill's shenanagins.
She supported Bush on Iraq and hid when Feingold had the nuts to call out Bush. Enough said.
No vote for Hill.

She was even indifferent to Bill's shenanagins.

I don't know if that is true. In any case, ultimately her marriage is really between her and her husband. I wouldn't want her to hash things out in public... would you?

She supported Bush on Iraq

I know what you're saying but Bush lied to Congress. Not only lying about evidence he supposedly had, but what he would do with their Yes vote. I am disappointed there was not more resistance too, but I don't know if writing off the whole party (minus a handful) is what I wan't to do. I will be curious to see how ANY candidates would answer the question Knowing Then What You Know Now, would you still vote yes to give Bush the power to act unilaterally. Anybody who still says Yes now... hoo boy.

and hid when Feingold had the nuts to call out Bush.

Lets see what she does, as this plays out. The censure issue is a slow moving train, I think it will pick up steam. I think it's going to be the gift that keeps on giving. Every time another Senator signs on, the issue is back in the headlines. At least I hope so.

Hillary stands for nothing

Hillary is my Senator, and I am disappointed she isn't more liberal. However I am willing to listen to her and give her a chance to convince me. I think saying She Stands for Nothing is not really fair and not remotely true, however you are entitled to your opinion.

I think Hillary Clinton CAN be a good candidate for president, and I will watch her and see what issues she campaigns on. I'm going to support whichever candidate I think deserves my support the most, when the time comes.

I appreciate your opinion. My opinion is based on leadership, which IMO Hillary does not exhibit.
Stand up. Take the lead on something. Stand squarely with Russ instead of checking the winds first.
In 2008, we need strong leadership to support the true American values of freedom and liberty. We do not need another manipulator.

20. Feingold Already Answered The "Knowing What You Know Now" Question...
Edited on Fri Mar-24-06 10:40 AM by radio4progressives
And his answer was the only HONEST ANSWER presented thus far.

The reason why he voted NO! on the Authorization to go to Iraq was because HE KNEW what WE KNEW, that the entire rationalization for going to war in Iraq was a complete canard (Mushroom Cloud/WMD's) and the bit about "fighting the terra-ist there so we don't have to fight them here" was a ruse to occupy a country that the PNAC'rs were planning on doing since before they stole the election.

The utter insanity of the Beltway Dems/DLC etc, were to go along with this fucking LIE, when they actually DID KNOW BETTER, but apparently supported it for their own greedy purposes (Difi) or other ambitions (Biden, HRC etc for 2008).

I swear I don't understand the blinders people conintue to wear, preferring to drink from the punchbowl of Denial rather than face the fucking facts.

Unless of course, that's the kind of Bush-Lite leadership people are looking for.

Please look carefully into Clinton's position on the electronic voting issue, then think again about your support for her. She is NOT our friend.
