Hackett Supporter Praises Brown
Paul Hackett, the Iraq veteran who quit his bid for the U.S. Senate because he believed he couldn't get by fellow Democrat Sherrod Brown, has yet to say anything nice about his onetime opponent.

But Hackett’s former spokesman, Karl Frisch, will have to start praising the congressman today.

Frisch, who once referred to Brown as “more of the same,” is the new press secretary for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, which helps promote and defend the party's senate candidates

1. I think you characterization of Hackett is not accurate
but nevertheless if the Democrats cannot win againt DeWine then that is more of a statement about the people in Ohio than Brown...

What the hell happened to Ohio? I remember when it was a blue state, now they seem to relish in correct republican leaders who love to steal from them

5. Well
considering it wasn't a problem in Ohio until 2004, Ohio Dems have been working on weeding out the corruption. Kind of hard when the GOP has an evern greater stranglehold on the state than they do at the national level. We're doing as good as we can, thanks for asking.

4. Brown is better than Hackett
He's a liberal with experience and name recognition who has consistently won, even in conservative districts. We've been begging him to run statewide for years, and we're glad he decided to.

Hackett is fine, but he's not ready for a statewide race in Ohio. No one wants to humiliate him, but he really wasn't ready for the race he was in. Sure, he developed a lot of internet charisma, but there wasn't much substance or political experience behind the bravado.

BTW, its not just my characterization of Hackett, but is a reflection of media opinion as well.

Ohio is on the upswing, returning to blue from red!

6. Hmm
I'm still pissed off that Hackett was forced out; he would have opened a can of whoop @$$ on Dewine.
