Just One Question...
I have only one question that has been bothering me for a couple of years now...
Regardless of being the "big tent" party and putting aside the massive amount of repair that will have to be undertaken by the next administration to correct the mess we're in...Why hasn't the Democratic Party sought to put out a consistent and comprehensive policy on the critical issues facing our country?

This country is waiting for an inspired and positive message outlining what the Democrats would do if they were in power. The most consistent criticism I hear on all of the news outlets from pundits and others is that the Democratic Party does not have a message...does not have an alternative answer or policy to counter the crap we are witnessing. They are not speaking in a unified voice. And simply running on "we're not them" isn't going to work.

So I ask again...
Where is the unified and consistent policy message from the Democratic party?

2. A couple of reasons, but it boils down to...
..poor leadership in the House and Senate. I think the Dems in Congress as a whole have problems getting on the same page.

Hopefully, if we can win a Congressional majority, we'll get it together.

...perhaps it's more an issue of getting the word out and fighting our way through the media.

(on edit)
And, I might add that not all Dems are on the "same page" as the one you pointed out...sadly.

5. One theory I heard
Was that the Dem's didn't want to lay out a comprehensive plan to early in an election year. Their reason was they didn't want Repughs to have time to start tearing it apart, i'm not sure who said this but i remember reading it a few weeks ago.

6. Why?
"Why hasn't the Democratic Party sought to put out a consistent and comprehensive policy on the critical issues facing our country?"

Is it really that hard? It's because there are establishment, protect-their-power democrats and principled, visionary democrats and never the twain shall meet.

7. plans
I think you should do some research. the dems have put forth many ideas which ahve been trashed and disposed of by the repubs. that doesn't make them wrong. there is also, I think a broad outline of dem ideals which can only be implemented if they have some control. Instead of asking and repeating these repub. talking points, come up with your own ideas and put them up for a look.

9. Their message is: "The Clean up Crew is Coming" Things were good
under Clinton why do we have to do things differently than he did?

Why is everyone expecting some huge different plan? The democratic plan has always been the best for the economy and the welfare of the people. You don't need to put it into 50 words or less. I think the Repubs are pushing this one because they have SO LITTLE to aim at the Democratic party.
