3. It seems to come in cycles
Hillary boosters making new posts every time one drifts to the bottom of the screen. Sometimes they get lazy for a few days. Then they come back.

, indeed.

5. If she is nominee, of course
until then, the point is moot. Any vote against the eventual nominee (uh, quite some time from now, I might add, we have '06 to get through :eyes:) is counter-productive to any ideals of progressiveness.

But I know what you mean.

I do want to live long enough to see the Repugs kicked to the curb. Lots of other reasons to hand in there - retirement, grandchildren, travel, etc. All those things I've been postponing for years and years.

Hang in there.

27. Not in the Primary -- Of course, if she won the nomination, I'd work. . .
Edited on Wed Mar-29-06 10:26 PM by pat_k
. . .my ass of for her.

In the Democratic Primary:
I will not vote for, or work for, any member of the 107th or 109th Congress who betrayed us by failing to object to the Florida electors (107th) or Ohio electors (109th). Of course, a member can redeem themselves at any time by publicly acknowledging their mistake.

Barbara Boxer stood up and objected to Ohio, and she came clean and admitted that she made a mistake in 2001. So far, she is the only member I'd support. If she doesn't run, I'll be looking for a governor (except Warner).

In the General Election:
I'll be working my ass off for whoever gets the nomination. To paraphrase Arianna, if Democrats nominate a sack of cement, I'll help carry it over the line.

48. It depends
Entirely on who is running against her--both in the primaries and in the general Election.

If she is running against Al Gore in the primaries, I'd vote for Gore.

In the General Election, I'd vote for her in a second unless the Republican
nominee was Howard Dean--not something on which I'd bet my next paycheck.

or to nominate her?

Former, sure, definetely - over ass holes like Frist, McCain, Allen or some other RW nut job.

To be the nominee? Hell no. I think she'd be a disaster.

In the primaries, no. There are a few candidates, starting with Wes Clark, I would vote for before Hillary. But in the GE, once she's made it throught the primaries, no question.

51. Not in the 2006 Primary I won't
I'm supporting Jonnathan Tasini, who is calling for withdrawal of troops from Iraq. I want an anti-war Dem representing me in the Senate, and I want an anti-war Dem to be the nominee for President in 2008. If you want to support the cause of anti-war Dems, please visit tasininfornewyork.org and make a contribution today! As with the Lamont/Lieberman race, this one is about what a Democrat really is. In my mind, opposition to the war is a threshold qualification.
