The "War on Terror" is bullshit

There. I said it. You cannot fight a war against an ideology. You may as well declare a war on school shootings or a war on drugs (oh wait, nevermind). Terrorism was no more or less of a threat on September 11, 2001 than it was on April 19, 1995 or February 26, 1993, although it probably is more of a threat now just because of Bush's careless and unilateral actions. As far as I'm concerned, the War on Terror = the Clone Wars, a bogus war against an enemy that poses relatively little or no threat used as a front for the government to sieze imperial powers.

Bush is struggling to rally skeptical Americans to his bellicose view of the world, by arguing that Islamic extremists pose a comparable threat to the Fascist war machines of World War II, and the Soviet Communist empire.

Some 50 million people died in World War II. And a Cold War nuclear conflict could have annihilated many more in a few hours. Al Qaeda is a criminal nuisance, nothing more.

7. Couldn't agree more

The sad fact is, no 9-11 terror attack would have succeeded without intentional ignorance from the highest echelons of governmental power. Period. It's the only explanation for the incredible inconsistencies in the whole story.

Even sadder, imagine if we had spent that 3 trillion on doing GOOD in the world instead of making war. Think terrorism would be a problem?

There have always been terrorists, as long as we hav had a country. Why they have morphed into the "gravest threat to humanity ever" is patently obvious.

to seize power but it's also cover for republicans to grab HUGE war profits

Ever wonder what that multi-billion dollar debt came from ????
It's right here... The biggest fraud in history.

In better times, republican traitors like these
would be drawn and quartered....
instead they get a contract and a "freedom medal".
