2. I like Howard. He's smart and he's passionate. But he is like me:
I know I can't convince anyone of anything....I smile too much! I'm too much onto the pulse of the bullshit. He's intimidating. And so am I. I know my role is not in front of the public. I really do like him and I like myself...I just think there are too many people who are prickly when it comes to his demeanor.

8. My particular passion for Clinton likely comes from the fact that we're
both southern boys, born a few years and a few miles apart to parents in similar, lower class backgrounds. I always connected to Bill because, in some ways, I WAS Bill. I like his warmth and empathy.

Howard Dean is also a man I greatly admire-a doctor and a skilled politician. But, personality-wise, I've always seen him as just a little aloof. Its harder for those born to comfort and wealth to relate easily with the children of truck drivers and lunchroom ladies (my parents occupations)

While I find Dean very interesting and would love a chance to know him, I find Bill Clinton WAY more compelling and did long before he became the Democratic nominee in 1992. I followed the "Big Dog" since his unfortunate losing run for congress in 1972 (I think thats the year).

5. Clinton is to personality what Michael Jordan is to hoops
Edited on Wed May-31-06 11:35 PM by TOJ
I would say that Big Dog is one of the most popular people in history. His gargantuan intellect and genuine compassion, together with his lust for life, make him pretty much irresistable.

Edit: If you talk to ANYONE who's met Clinton, (s)he will tell you that the man actually listens to what's being said to him, and hears it, regardless of the speaker or the subject. Compare that to Dipshit, who sat through hours of Katrina breifings without asking one goddamned question

9. Clinton's a little too slick for me.
I love the guy and all, but Dean is just rough around the edges enough to make him believable. He seems trustworthy, and sincere.

6. Remember what Chris Rock said about Bill Clinton on Leno? LOL !!
Jay Leno said "...so you got to spend some time with former President Bill Clinton, what did you think of him?"

Rock said, "Oh Hot Dayum Jay.. I'm telling you man.. I can sure as hell see what the appeal is with him. After spending a few minutes with him.. Hell, I was ready to climb in bed with him myself!!"

Jay Leno cracked up!!!!

10. Howard Dean
Come on people, Clinton is charming and all that, but if all you need is somebody to schmooze you, call an escort service.

Howard Dean is real, that has got to count for more than schmooze.

17. Better personality doesn't equal most likeable
Bill Clinton scores higher on charming, but much lower on honest and trust worthy. Using my own value system to weight those and other values, Dean wins. If Kerry is included he is far beyond both. He is also by far the most charming.
