My Questions for John Kerry When I meet him Today
Yesterday I posted on this board saying that I was meeting John Kerry today, and asked for specific questions that I should ask him If I get a chance. (I am going to a speech, and am supposed to get a chance to meet him afterward for a little Q & A) I went over all the responses and here is a list of questions I will ask if I can. I will report back here and on my site www.thehollywoodliberal.com
with what I find out. Thanks for all the responses.

1. What are Democrats in general, and you in particular going to do to make sure that 2008 is not a repeat of 2000, and 2004. in terms of election fraud. Why aren’t Democrats talking more about this issue?

2. Bobby Kennedy is about to release an article in Rolling Stone, that says that 350,000 votes were stolen in Ohio, that Kenneth Blackwell was in on it., and that it possibly goes all the way to the white house. A) Can you comment on the article. And B) Why did you concede so early in the 2004 election. Many people were angered that you conceded so early especially after what happened in 2000.
and especially after you said you would fight until every vote had been counted.

3. Why are Democrats Shying away from Impeachment. (Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi have both announced that impeachement will probably not be an option even if the Democrats take control of the house. Do you agree with this and if so why.

4. During your 2004 presidential campaign you highlighted as one of your actual plans to help the American worker, an initiative to eliminate the tax break American corporations receive for shipping jobs overseas. Have you introduced the legislation, and if not when will you?

5. If you run for re-election will you use Bob Shrum as your campaign manager?
6. (Quietly to the side if Possible) Were you and your family threatened, and When was you last S&B meeting.

1. Good questions, but impeachment is really a House issue
so I am not sure that one is relevant to him. I'd focus more on the Rolling Stone article.

Ask him when those Heinz kids are going to start running for office!

4. Senators shouldn't even mention impeachment as they are called on to act
as impartial JURORS if a president is impeached by the House.

I don't understand why more posters fail to absorb that important fact.

9. Might want to take the word "actual" out
of "actual plans". That might tick him off as the "I have a plan" thing was kind of overplayed by the right.

5. I'm most interested in question #3
Edited on Thu Jun-01-06 12:24 PM by mtnsnake
Even his former running mate, John Edwards, recently expressed that he is against impeaching Bush. That was very disappointing, to say the least, and I hope Kerry doesn't feel the same way.

I'm sure if you get the chance to ask him, he's not going to come right out with a direct yes or no type answer, but as long as he doesn't say he opposes the idea of impeachment, I'll be satisfied for now.

6. I guess you have health insurance since my universal care question
was not included. People generally aren't too concerned until they find themselves without it. It would be nice - coming from one of the 45 million or so uninsured - to know if Senator Kerry has any thoughts on getting us as healthy as the Canadians, the Brits and the myriad of other countries who offer universal health care.

8. In Massachusetts there was a law recently passed ..
.. that said basically if you don't have health insurance you will buy it or else you will pay fines. This is the kind of help that isn't worth getting, aye?

11. It'll be interesting to see how that works out since there are no
controls over what the insurance companies can charge. Our governor in New Hampshire signed a bill a year or so ago that was supposed to make insurance affordable for small business (of which I'm one). You can only sign up in March and September, so I priced it in March and the cost of the cheapest policy with a huge deductible is about a third of my income. I decided I'd just as soon eat - rather than pay premiums - for the short time I might have on this earth due to no insurance.

12. That is basicaly my fear ..
Any time the government has mandated the purchase of a product the supplier of that product has always been ready with special sale pricing. Look out. From what I can tell the only people that will actualy be assisted are ones at income levels that likely already committed suicide and the whopping 300 bucks that the employers without health coverage are supposed to kick in is supposed to be the one provision in the bill that will be vetoed.

Paul Wellstone's plane going down (put democrats that stick their neck out on notice)
Anthrax being mailed to key democrats (good scare tactic)
Ted Kennedy is put on a terrorist no fly list (a demonstration of their power)
Raiding of Jefferson's office (intimidation of congress)

Just a few examples. I'm sure there's a whole lot of that stuff going on that we know nothing of. Especially with one party rule and takeover of everything. I'm sure they probably won't talk about it publicly, but don't you think that could explain some of the things that have happened that just don't make sense.

Get any answers? I'm all ears to know what he said, especially about #1 and #2.

Are you going to file some sort of report?
