Ethics training for Troops? Sure to piss off bush's base
The troops in Iraq are being ordered to undergo ethics training after the alleged atrocities in Haditha by U. S. Marines. They will be told to not indiscriminately slaughter innocent Iraqis. Is this not against every "christian" conservative value in their how to fight wars book? After all, they are just godless "ragheads" more than likely working for the enemy. Why should our troops have their hands tied? Maybe good radical christian clerics in American can offer a special prayer this Sunday to ensure that any future atrocities not be uncovered.

1. Maybe not
Maybe "good radical christian clerics" will be teaching the classes.
Story is they will undergo ethics training, no mention of good ethics.

2. Rumour has it that half of troop training is designed to wipe out ethics
or is that meant to be a thing of the past? You know, the "your enemy is subhuman, so it doesn't matter if you kill him" idea. Can anyone who's been in the military in the post-Vietnam era say what the atmosphere in basic training really is?

6. It's not easy to get the average, decent draftee primed to kill.
The tradition of dehumanizing the opponent goes back thousands of years.

3. Imagine if Clinton had ordered ethics training
We'd have been inundated with photoshops of soldiers in ballerina costumes prancing around while menacing dark-skinned terrorists aimed rifles at them.

Best way to protect our young soldiers: get them out of this debacle. Now.
