I Hereby Declare Victory

The War is Over.

Not that it ever was so much of a war. The American President ordered some half-assed wannabe army of a third world country overrun. That wasn't a war, really. It was a rout. We came, we embedded some guys with cameras for the home viewers who wished to play along and we raced across the Iraqi desert all the way to Baghdad. We dragged a dictator out of a hideyhole and our little boy who played cowboys as a kid and now likes to play president got to ride in a jet plane, wear a codpiece, and look cool.

Everything since then has been an action of patriots fending off invaders who wish to occupy their country. And the patriots appear to be winning.

Here on the home front, people on our side of the equal sign have been vindicated. Not everyone wants to admit it, but everyone knows, in their heart of hearts, its over. Here at home, the patriots are also winning.

We were right.

And we won.

All that's left is the hard part. The mop up. The clean up. The disinfection.

As we get about that task, which will officially commence in November of this year, just keep in mind one plain, simple, two-word-fact.

WE WON

"We" didn't win jack. The Bush administration, however, did.
