This is a heads up for Feingold supporters -

You know when I go after Russ it's on DETAILS - I basically like him and most of his record and always did. It's when people use false claims that I get hot under the collar. I'm addicted to accuracy - so sue me.

But, that's not the point of this thread.

Kos and Armstrong on Russert said they are going with people like Feingold and Warner because they are "outsiders" to DC.

I smell BULLSHIT. I think the supposed "support" for Feingold is so that they can coopt his internet supporters for Warner.

All of a sudden Kos believes that DLC is NOT an issue and he doesn't consider Warner as a DLC member? Sorry - don't buy it. Not after he excoriated the ONE member of the DLC who maintained the most liberal voting record for the last few years and now he can turn a blind eye to one who's furthest right?

That doesn't square. Something's wrong here and it smells like Russ is being used. I get mad at him and you every now and then, but I sure as hell don't want ANY of you to be used. And i would hope that you all would return the favor when you sense something doesn't add up.


BTW - I do agree with Kos' statement that it's the Dem infrastructure that is the problem for Dems. It's the 2008 stuff I'm not buying.

as a progressive. They can answer that question from their perspective.

I can say that there's nothing wrong with any Dem, and I'd prefer a lefty Dem over a centrist Dem from my pov. It's the feeling of manipulation that I can't shake.

It always amazes me that the far-rightest candidate (so far) is even considered as a viable alternative to those who are principally Feingold people....

Is it possible to explain why you think these two are similar, or even have a similar appeal?
