What do you think of a Gore/Kennedy ticket in '08?
It makes sense to me but first we have to fix the voting machine problem. We need to get the voting machine software to be public property like in Australia. In addition there, the programming code was made publicly available for identifying vulnerabilities so the software could be made hacker-proof. Anything less than full public control of our elections, the software included, is un-American and a threat to our democracy. The Founding fathers wrote the Constitution to ensure that We the People would own our own democracy. Voting is the most essential right in our democracy.

3. RFK Jr. of course.
After that great Rolling Stone article, RFK Jr. deserves serious consideration. He was also working for Gore, promoting " An Inconvenient Truth".

9. Vote Absentee?
Are you sure that it would improve the chance of your vote being accurately tallied?

I'm not.

10. I don't blame him at all
Looking at his uncle's picture next to my username but I guess it was wishful/hopeful thinking. This party needs hope. Him being a heartbeat away from the Oval office would be too much for the Kennedy haters.

14. I believe the Kennedy in rehab is a different one
The one in rehab is a state office holder. Either way, being a Kennedy is not an easy job.

13. Maybe for the better if he's not in office
It gives him the freedom to write articles like this and do the work that he belives in.

5. Why on earth did you have a revolution to get rid of your monarchy,
only to set up your own friggin' dynasties? It's bizarre and illogical. It started way back with JQ Adams and has led to the lump of aristocratic afterbirth now in the White House.

6. You ask an excellent question and I really don't understand why....
people seem to want a dynasty. The last thing I want is another "Royal Family" like the Bushes or Kennedys. I want my fucking REPUBLIC back! What part of that is so hard to understand? I don't want "heirs apparent"-I want d-e-m-o-c-r-a-c-y.

Apparently that concept is not as common with my fellow Americans as it once was.

8. You've got me on the Gore part.
But I'd rather have Gore/Feingold. I think it would be best to have more diversity on the ticket. Gore/Kennedy would be perceived too much as a one issue ticket, even though I know they are both more than that.

I do think that Kennedy would make a great EPA secretary, and he would have the complete support of President Gore to achieve his goals.

12. That would be a good ticket also.
I guess I was just giving Bobby jr. some deserved credit for having the balls to go public with his thoughts and feelings on that travesty of an election we went through in '04.

19. He had to have balls...
To have to endure the agony of talking to media eggheads like Wolf Blitzer, who interrupted Kennedy every time he spoke but gave the other goofball ample time to complain about all of the supposed fake voter registrations using names like Freddie Kruger. God it hurt me to see what he had to say get so easily dismissed and twisted on just about every program he was on. He still did it because he cared more about the issue than about the disrespect shown to him. That's what I call big huevos! He deserves a hell of a lot of credit.
