1. Well,
I have a heart and wings in the back window of every car I own (see my avatar). Don't know that this is what you want.

4. Isn't showing the Sufi symbol because of your beliefs- not because you
are fighting back against "Xtians "pushing" their views down your throat" - or is it.
your sticker on your car a push back against those pushing views down your throat?

By the way, I like the idea that the heart is both earthly and heavenly, and when filled with the divine spirit, it soars heavenward - with the wings a symbol of its rising.

There is a very real danger of another "Xtian" also embracing Sufism. :-)

6. Well, when I see a car with a fish symbol
I remember Kabir's poem, which says that the fish laughs when people ask if it is thirsty. There are so many fish symboled cars around here, I felt the need to let it be known, in a subtle manner, that others were around....

Lots of nice Christian folk I know are also Sufis....you can be both....and yes, I think you have the symbology down...:)

2. Here's the story about the Wiccan soldier who died in Iraq
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/06/01/AR2006060101889.html

In a nutshell, the memorial will put a cross, a star or a crescent for the religion of your choice. But if your religious symbol happens to be a pentacle then you're screwed.

3. I wrote and performed an 80-minute monologue about atheism ...
for which I received a grant from the college that I teach at. It's called "Confessions of A God Damned Atheist: And Thoughts about the Christian Right." It's part comedic, part tragic and part political. It went over very well (if I may say so) but then I performed it in front of a bunch of progressive artist types in Portland, Oregon. I plan to perform it again. Let me know if you want more.

12. The grammar is fine, folks. These days in informal writing
grammarians say it's ok to end a sentence with a preposition. Perhaps, I should have hyphenated part-comedic, etc. I admit that.

7. Not a wise move to go outside Judeo-Christian faiths
The fact is that most Americans hold negative views of anybody outside the Judeo-Christian model.

Yes, you can be an artist or hair stylist and profess your Paganism, Buddhism, Atheism, etc. But, if you want to make it as a politican or move up the ranks of corporate America...you better be inside the mainstream of relgious beliefs.

Sad commentary on the world's most 'advanced' civilization....

9. I have a bumpersticker that says "Blessed Be."
This isn't exactly public, but at work I have a sticker on my computer monitor that says, "Goddess Blessed," and I have a magnet on my binder bin with an American flag and three pentacles underneath it. I'm open minded, so on top of my monitor I have a little statue of a monk, a gargoyle, an angel, a teddybear, and a zebra. I find it interesting that mine is one of the few computers in our department that hasn't been infected by a virus, and I credit that to my gargoyle. I'm in an office with four desks, no cubicles, and I test applicants, so I'm pretty visible.

There are a lot of people here at work that have really cheesy pictures of Jesus and Bible verses and crap all around their cubicles, especially after 9/11, so I brought in a few items to make my office a little more "me." Not that I have anything against Jesus, but there was just too much "America is a Christian country" stuff for me to stomach.
