Where were the big Pharisees during Shrub's Gay wedding speech?
According to Americablog (Aravosis):

http://americablog.blogspot.com/2006/06/white-house-hid-religious-right.html

Not a single religious right leader was visible on camera during George Bush's entire address this afternoon.

No one.

I TiVo'd the entire address, watched it twice, froze the frames, and there were plenty of audience shots of the crowd assembled at the White House to cheer on Bush's address supporting an anti-gay constitutional amendment. And not a single shot showed a leader of the religious right sitting in the audience.

Now, we know this White House. Not a single event happens in this White House that isn't fully scripted. The camera in the room swung out numerous times to show the audience, but interestingly enough, the people in the line of sight of the camera were NEVER the religious right leaders. It's almost as if, by sheer coincidence, the entire religious right leadership just happened to be placed in the obstructed view seats, so to speak. And trust me, this White House knows exactly which seats are on camera and which are not.

Who did we NOT see sitting in the audience?

Pat Robertson
Jerry Falwell
James Dobson, Focus on the Family
Janet Parshall, radio host (formerly FRC)
Bob Knight, Concerned Women for America
Tony Perkins, Family Research Council
Peter LaBarbera, former CWFA and FRC
Lou Sheldon and Andrea Sheldon, Traditional Values Coalition{/div]

1. Who were the people in the audience?
I wonder if BushCo made Republican staffers fill up the chairs at the event.

7. Of coarse they did. It's all just a grand performance so they can steel
another election. What if it's just an attempt to make it look like a Wedge Issue. What if it's simply an act. America need something to blame a republicon Victory on beside the RIGGED VOTING MACHINES. this way when any republicon candidate wins by 51% they can just pull this gay marriage thing out and use it as an excuse rather then have the truth be know that THE VOTING MACHINES ARE RIGGED!!!!!!!!! Wedge issue??? perhaps. But I think it's more then likely that it will be called a wedge issue by the MSM but really it's just a cover that lets them steal another election with their RIGGED VOTING MACHINES. (Just like that War on X-mas remember?)

11. They're too moderate to be in Bush's core base.
That's why Freepers hate them. The Phelps klan aren't hateful enough even for them.

22. Free Republic, well known Hate Group regularly delivers death threats.
RimJob constantly deletes their plans and fantasies of assassination over there.

Timothy McVeigh was a registered Republican at one point and an NRA member. I bet big money that he had a Freeper screen name.

As disgusting as they are, I know of no plans by Phelps to kill anyone.

Free Republic contains tons of hateful attacks on homosexuals and anyone who is on the the left of full fascist conservatism.

If I saw a group of Freepers on the street, I would avoid them And I would never reveal my identity online.

Freepers are a personal threat. Phelps and their ilk, are more like Rove and Bush. Encouraging hate, but never personally bloodying their hands.

28. My favorite is homosexualist. "Mr So and So are you or have you ever

been a member of the Homosexualist Party?"

It has a nice Mcarthy ring to it.

Next will be

Universal Health Care-ist.
Balanced Budget-ist
Public Educational-ist
Fair Voting-ist

and a real winner

Personal Privacy-ist

RimJob would be funny if he wasn't so dangerous.
He's a hypocrite and overt Nazi propagand-ist.

If he was around in 1941 he would be in the federal
slammer on treason charges.

Started out as a data base programmer in the
late seventies/early eighties. He is very net
savvy. Phelps is stupid and easily ridiculed.

RJ is also in cahoots with the Repug attack
machine. Notice he still lists Talon News of
Jeff Gannon fame as a news source.

He is also allied with Alan Gotlieb of Freedomtobeararms.com

Gotlieb is a convicted felon and hate literature publisher
of choice for the RW.

BTW I love your screen name. I have two friends who
have been living in Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City for the
last ten years. I'd like to visit there. From the sounds
of it the place is happening'

From what I know it was like Havana in the 50's and Shanghai in the 30's

The war until 68 never really was in Saigon proper

Except in 65 when they blew up the Brinks Hotel

This is like having black republicans position near television cameras during the conventions.

12. truth
If we possess the truth, it doesn't give us the right to
be unkind to those who disagree. It didn't give Bin Laden the
right to declare Jihad, hijack airplanes and fly them into the
World Trade Center. It didn't give so-called 'Christians' the
right to kill people in the Crusades. It doesn't give us the
right to be disrespectful or violent.
If you really do have the truth, then you have nothing to fear.
You don't need to burn books or censor speech. Truth is its
own best defense.

I'm not talking in terms of issues so much as trying to appeal to people outside of their base. People should think about that next time they're complaining that the party won't throw them a bone.
