However, he was on the ground meeting with Dems and everyone was getting the word out about him. The other guy isn't around at all.

Why in the world would the GOP bother to sabotage a race like that? It is an overwhelmingly GOP district, and Herger hasn't done anything to really piss of his base. Combine that with the fact that Fazlett either hasn't tried or is incapable of raising money, and I don't see why the GOP would bother.
