My candidate won!!! (CA state Assembly)

:woohoo: :bounce: :woohoo: JARED HUFFMAN IN ASSEMBLY DISTRICT 6!! (Marin and lower half of Sonoma)

I've been working on a campaign for a great man running for the California State Assembly. He's an environmentalist, smart, progressive, conscientious, and compassionate. As I've worked on the campaign, I've gotten to respect him more and more.

This race became very nasty. We had many special interests get involved and pour money into the race. In the closing weeks, we thought we might win but none of us knew until this morning. The candidate that didn't get involved in the attack ads, ran a clean campaign, is not tied to special interests WON!!!

I've never been this closely involved in a campaign where we won. All the hard work, phone calls, precinct walking etc. paid off. We won because of the volunteers and a great candidate. Thank you Marin and Sonoma voters.

Yesterday, just before going out to vote, I scanned the "California" forum several times seeking last-minute info on the election. I hate to admit that I'm an extreme procrastinator, but I am. Most of the seats I was settled on who I would vote for, but I did get some good influence from that forum just before voting.

I just looked, and didn't see a thread there about Huffman (I mean, one started yesterday). I recall reading his little bio paragraph while I was in the voting booth, and nearly voted for him, but then something about another candidate caught my eye and I essentially did a coin toss.

I'm glad he won, and it's too bad I didn't go with my first instinct, and further, it was too bad I didn't research this before voting.

I thought about it but I didn't think anyone would pay attention. Thanks for the advice. Jared is great. Who did you vote for?
