Ok, ok, so we had an election yesterday... we have some screaming, but that was a sure seat! We failed, oh my ... run for the borders!

Ok folks I will partly agree with this crowd... no, not because the Dems failed to take a safe seat from the pubbies. In fact it was a damn good showing... and my lord the pubbies had to spend enormous amounts of cash... ok that is nice. (Yes it is)

So the Demos need to work on messaging... we've known this for years, they have set the debate... and we are forever playing catchup

And Bilbray ran against Bush... ok, go ahead discuss among yourselves

No the major lesson yesterday was that they can go ahead and suspend elections... most Muricans would not notice... nor would they care. We had statewide, 30% voter participation... and you know why? I will tell you why.. people take this for granted, and American Idol is far more important to them. I got some doozies yesterday...

Why vote nothing ever changes... to witt, nothing ever changes because you are not willing to do your civic duty

There are elections today? Perchance you have not noticed the political commercials during Survivor... oh that is why those were there I was wondering. So now that elections are over they will stop right? (Where is a wall when I need it)

Of course this precious one... it takes too long to vote... to witt it took me ten minutes... and only because I am on crutches so getting to the polling place was a tad more difficult than usual.

Ok here is the problem... until Americans get it that voting is NOT A FUCKING RIGHT... but your civic duty, the minority, who is truly the majority, will continue to face defeat. Do I have a magical solution to this? No... I have spoken to many folks who really don't care, have given up in the system or really do not get it. Maybe a military draft will wake them up.. or maybe this is terminal. I have spoken to folks much older and wiser than me over the years and we have concluded that the loss of trust in the government is so severe by now, that the remedy goes beyond the booth... but then again, with the level of apathy we have these days... elections suspended, until further notice... now we return you to survivor were our participants are the ten people who protested this... thrown off the island permanently, please vote on the method of execution.
