Elizabeth Hasselback is an Idiot
Elizabeth Hasselback just showed how much of an idiot she is. Minutes ago it was announced on the View that Zarqawi was killed in an airstrike. Hasselback jumped up to say that is why we are in Iraq. Even though that upset me a little bit in that I do not believe that is the reason we are in Iraq that is not the reason I am writing this. Later the discussion moved to the fact that Ann Coulter attacked some of the 9/11 widows for their activities after their husbands died on 9/11. While everyone else saw how horrible what Coulter did was Hasselback tried to defend Coulter. Once again having a different opinion is not what upset me. Hasselback said that Coulter had a point in that the political left had used these women and as a result they (the women) had opened themselves up to criticism. Hasselback then tried to say that Michael Moore did the same thing Coulter did all the time.

First, in regards to the widows I do not understand how standing up for better security and asking the President to improve security in order to prevent another terrorist attack is being used by the political left. Also, I do not understand how asking the President to go after the people who did this attack on America instead of other people who had nothing to do with the attacks is being used by the left. Finally, I would like to know how pointing out that the President went after people who had nothing to do with the attacks on 9/11 is being used by the political left.

Second, I know Michael Moore has said thing that upset people on both the left and the right, but when has Michael Moore done anything that even comes close to the level of what Coulter has done time and time again. As far as I know Michael Moore has just asked questions about how the President has run this country. Moore as far as I know has just point out the Presidents relationships with certain foreign leaders and questioned whether the President should still have relations with these foreign leaders. As far as I know Moore has never made people out to be villians just because of their views. I have not read all of moores books, but from what I know Moore's books are more full of facts than Coulter's books and he seems to be much more leveled headed than Coulter.

Finally, if Hasselback and her husband believe in this war so much than I am wondering why neither one of them is fighting the war in Iraq. Her husband seems to have a large amount of time on his hands now that he seems to be a washed up quarterback. Even Elizabeth Hasselback could go to the war herself in that people are not in great need of the View or of her on the View. Barbara Walters could just replace her with someone else.

1. If it makes you and the rest of us feel good about Hasselback
She doesnt' have a very high approval rating for the ladies on "The View" and rumor has it that she might be on the chopping block next for who is getting replaced. There was a piece in the NYPost that they wanted to start appealing to latinos and were considering bringing in a young hispanic woman (I don't remember the name) and ousting Hasselback, who has very little appeal except to a small segment of the population

16. Yeah, if anyone should go it's her......when I do watch that show
and she comes on or is doing an interview, I just turn the channel. Such a lightweight compared to all the other women on the show.

3. Yes she is.
I don't remember what I saw her commenting about recently, but I came away with the same opinion. Something choice-related.

She is fundamentally brain dead.

9. Hasselbeck got her talking points from MRS. HOWIE KURTZ, the GOP
strategist who has personally taken to handling the GOP spokespeople on all these shows, it appears. They are all saying the exact same thing. As usual.

10. I just wish ONE person on these shows would point out that
Coulter is using 9/11 and the grieving widows to further her own agenda, which is to sell more books and get on more tv shows FOR THE MONEY. What she's done is far worse than anything any widow has done.

17. Walters, Vieria, and Jones Did
Barbara Walters, Merdeith Vieria, and Star Jones all pointed that out. Walters went as far as to say she was sorry to talk about Coulter in that they would help her sell more books. So yes three women of the View pointed out what agenda Coulters has.

19. Thing about Coulter is that if these women were supporting Bush and
not criticizing him, she's be heaping all kinds of praise on these brave women and woe to any deranged liberal who would dare to attack such noble women. Instead, they disagree with her politics, so they are harpies and crybabies.

One's politics shouldn't alter the truth.
