Did the republican crime and lie machine wilt away and disappear when reagan died? No. Young republicans are being groomed to take delay and abramoff and cunningham's place as we hunt and peck and thousands are lining up to take zarqawi's place as "conservatives" in America cheer on their latest "success."

1. Freedom Hater.
It's guy like you Boss, who are never happy. No wonder the right always pounds us for our inability to look at the bright side of life. We are such a dour lot, sadly trudging through fields of daisies with songbirds warbling in the blue skies.

Seriously, after your lobotomy, you'll see how truly wonderful things will be after today.

At least I think that's what's happened to the right.

2. Excrement exists! Rove was in the bowels of the Nixon white house.

3. "you can kill a revolutionary but you can't kill a revolution"

we Americans are immersed in a "People Magazine" culture ... we don't see "the script"; we see the actors ... we seem unable to focus our thoughts without a human medium to symbolize them ...

i often scan down the thread index in this forum to see how many "thread subjects" contain a person's name ... most of them do ...

as a political strategy, i worry that too many Democrats turn bush into the bogeyman the way bush has done with Zarqawi ... it's a dangerous mistake ... instead of being so focused on bush's evil, we should be more focused on the bankruptcy of the neo-cons and the republican party ... but those targets are less "passionate"; it sells better to have a more visible "target" ...

it's a hugh political mistake though ... bush can be beaten ... he might even drag down his whole party in '06 or even '08 ... but soon he'll be gone and all the energy attacking him will have challenged the man but not his legacy ...

we need to win the battle for the hearts and minds of Americans based on IDEAS and VALUES; not on opposition to one man ...

"People Magazining" bush as a symbol is fine; the greater case though needs to be made based on our vision and our values ... i'm afraid bush becomes a distraction that way ...
